The overarching goal of the project is to contribute to the implementation of the Swedish policy for global development: “A common responsibility – Sweden’s Policy for a Global Development” (PGD).

In order to enhance Sweden’s contribution to a global sustainable development, it is crucial to provide Swedish actor’s access to ESD* in different forms. It is also necessary to create awareness amongst actors in society at all levels that the PGD is based on cooperation and a coherent conduct with the two guiding perspectives stipulated in the PGD, the rights based perspective and the perspektiv of the poor. To faciliate this process Baseline Consulting now aim to produce a Handbook, including a PCD* – assessment tool, as a guide to public corporate promotion institutes and private corporations in collaboration with CSR Sweden, Sensus studieförbund region Skåne – Blekinge, MiL institute and Malmö högskola.

Ett RCE är ett regionalt nätverk som ska sprida lärande för hållbar utveckling inom olika former för lärande.

Ett lärande som ska skapa förutsättningar och möjligheter för människor att ta ansvar för en hållbar framtid både på ett personligt och professionellt plan. Hur kan du och jag medverka till att detta blir verklighet? Vad kan vi åstadkomma tillsammans?

FN har förklarat perioden 2005-2014 som årtionde för lärande för hållbar utveckling för att manifestera vikten av utbildning. För att ge slagkraft och spridning åt arbetet med lärande för hållbar utveckling har United Nations University introducerat idén om regionala centra, som arbetar lokalt för att stimulera och stödja detta lärande. Det finns idag 74 RCE i världen, varav 23 i Europa.
